Services for Homeless

SERVICES for HOMELESS Individuals and Families

The Office of Housing Opportunities administers programs that are specific to individuals and/or families who are unsheltered* or in threat of losing their housing due to an eviction. Services currently offered include a transitional housing facility, Laura’s Anchor, which provides housing to single women and families with children who have no fixed address; rental assistance; financial assistance / move-in costs; and food.

Case management services are provided to all recipients of services through Housing Opportunities which include a detailed assessment identifying strengths and areas of need (for housing, finances, employment, education, job training, physical/mental health, nutrition, personal support services, transportation and childcare). Utilizing the assessment information, the case manager and client develop a plan of action to help move the individual and/or family toward attaining and maintaining housing.
